This is a voice-based process, where the Rates Desk Agents handle inbound and outbound calls for an airline's internal and external customers. The Rates Desk agents provide these fares by checking the fare construction through alternate fare break points, comparing the fare with other cheaper fare options and creatively using different promotional and strategic fares to provide the most competitive fare.
Rates Desk supports all types of rates queries for both internal and external customers including recalculation of fares and prepaid reservation using the various CRS/ GDS. These fare queries include Round The World calculation, Prepaid Reservation, Air Pass/ Vusa calculation, change in length of stay & change in original itinerary Fare calculation.
Each fare quoted by the consultants is quality checked to ensure most competitive fare and options are provided to the end customer. To ensure that individual and process productivity is optimum, comprehensive feedback is continually conducted.
